About the Community Counseling Center at Gordon-Conwell

Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary was founded in 1969 to advance Christ’s Kingdom in every sphere of life by equipping Church leaders to think theologically, engage globally, and live biblically. Today, it has four locations across the United States and also serves students globally.

The Community Counseling Center at Gordon-Conwell—Charlotte launched in September 2025 to better serve our Charlotte community through the seminary’s robust counseling program.

Mission

The Gordon-Conwell Community Counseling Center exists to provide compassionate, faith-integrated mental health care services while training the next generation of counseling professionals to integrate the highest level of clinical practice with a theological and Biblical foundation.

Vision

Our vision is to be a place of healing, where individuals and families can experience the transformative power of Christian faith and counseling. We envision a team of students and residents developing excellent client counseling skills while providing compassionate care to the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary community, Charlotte and beyond.

Values

We provide compassionate care with clinical excellence while training graduate counselors to serve with skill and empathy. Through church partnerships and the integration of Christian faith, we offer support that is both spiritually grounded and culturally sensitive. We are committed to making accessible care available to all who seek healing and hope.
